One of the best parts about Christmas is the surprises.
While many presents can be hidden in a closet or on top of the refrigerator, bikes are just too big.
We get many questions related to these special Christmastime concerns. This is one of the best times of the year, and we want to do everything that we can to make it the best Christmas yet. There are some things that we can do, and there are some things that, due to constraints, that we cannot do.
Here are the answers to a few of these questions:
Can we gift wrap the boxes? No, we cannot. The wrapping would never make it through the shipping process intact. Also, our boxes teeter at the edge of being oversized, so double-boxing would incur an exorbitant oversize charge.
Can we hide prices? Probably-- it depends on the bike and the time-frame. Please call us and ask!
Can we disguise the box so that the recipient cannot tell that there is a bike inside? No, we are unable to do this. The box is a large, distinctive shape, and it has many markings on it that identify the contents as a bike. We cannot cover all of these distinctive marks.
Can we guarantee shipping or delivery at a certain time? It depends. First, we cannot make special arrangements or promises for delaying shipment or for coordinating shipping and delivery at a certain time or date other than Overnight or 2nd Day Shipping. We ship as the orders come in, and Fedex takes over from there. In other words, we will not delay shipping. We would like to, but we found that this often leads to a host of unforeseen problems such as inventory going out of stock before shipping or shifting ship dates. To sum it up, your order will ship within a day or two of ordering, and then Fedex will deliver the bike as fast as they can. If you pay for Overnight or 2nd Day Air (note, these may cost more than the bike itself), then the bike is guaranteed to arrive when promised.
Can we send your bike to someone else's address (to keep the bike hidden until Christmas or directly to recipient's address)? Absolutely! We will ship to whatever shipping address you provide. Signature is required. Also, make sure to open the box upon delivery and check fenders, parts box, and seat and make sure that the bike was delivered in good condition. Please note that we cannot be responsible for how the bike is handled at this address.
